SCI FI READING ROOM
A collection of sci-fi tales i've come across.
- BLIT by David Langford: A short story about what happens when memetic kill agents fall into the wrong hands. The naming of the SCP Foundation's "Berryman-Langford memetic kill agent" originates here.
- All Tommorrows by C.M. Kosemen: A speculative evolution story, illustrating (with pictures!) the myriad paths humanity may take, and how the interference of alien life, distance, and wars could effect this. Famous by now, but my bragging right is that I read it before it was cool, then lost my copy and started to drive myself insane thinking I just made it up in my head. Very relieved that it has re-emerged and spared me this torment.
- It's a Good Life by Jerome Bixby: What happens when a child is granted the power of mind control? Famous as well.
- CPU by E. Lefebvre: Submitted to Bogleech's 2017 Creepypasta Cook-Off, and I've been thinking about it ever since. The story of two friends, and the brain-powered computer they create.
