figure and gesture drawing is a really, really good way to get a handle on human form relatively quickly, since drawing the human form over and over again will naturally make you understand it more. I usually do 15 mins of quick (30 sec/ 2 mins) gesture drawings a day as a warmup. here are some intro videos and websites to practice with:
